CASCADE MICRO SPRING 2026 SOCCER LEAGUE

Registration expected to open in January.   For players ages 3 - 10 (born 2016 to 2021)

For all players born 2016 - 2021.   

Age 3 (born in 2021) to age 10.

Cascade Micro Youth Soccer Program
The Youth Micro Soccer Program is for players from age 3 - 10.  We will welcome all players born 2016 to 2021 for the upcoming Spring 2026 season.   Players born in 2022 will be eligible to participate beginning with our Summer & Fall 2026 seasons.

We do not have tryouts as all players are welcome to participate in our program.  This league will use smaller teams, smaller field sizes and modified rules to allow the players to have more touches on the ball making it more enjoyable to play at younger ages.  Scores are not kept for games.

For players born in 2016 and 2017 with intermediate and advanced skills, we recommend our competitive Cascade Premier Select teams as part of our full year competitive program.

Volunteers

Our Micro League program depends on a team of volunteers to make it successful.  Please consider stepping up to be part of our volunteer team of coaches, asst coaches, field crew or league administration.  We need and welcome your support. 

Parent coaches are needed to coach their child's team.  These parent coaches are provided a full scholarship for their player.  Assistant parent coaches are provided a $40 scholarship for their player.  Scholarship credits are processed near the completion of the season.  Completion of on-line training modules and a background check through US Club Soccer is required for all coaches.

For the upcoming Spring 2026, our Micro  Program is for players born in 2016 to 2021.  Players will likely be separated into 7 divisions as follows:

1.   2021 birth year (U5): co-ed, 3v3, no goalkeeper
2.   2020 (U6): co-ed, 3v3, no goalkeeper
3.   2019 Boys (U7):  4v4, no goalkeeper
4.   2018 (1st Grade) & 2019 Girls  (U7/U8):  4v4, no goalkeeper
5.   2018 Boys (U8):  4v4, no goalkeeper
6.   2016/2017/2018 (2nd Grade) - Girls - (U9/U10): 7v7, with goalkeeper 
7.   2016/2017 - Boys -  (U9/U10): 7v7, with goalkeeper

** Divisions may be adjusted based on total registrations received for each season.  

PAID & VOLUNTEER COACHES—Cascade Micro teams are coached by both paid and volunteer coaches ensuring that every player receives the same quality training.  Our Micro Coaching Director and Cascade Micro staff, together with volunteer parent coaches will run practice and games every week to develop our youth soccer players.

WHEN

• Our Micro League has two seasons:
  • Fall season practices start in late August.
  • Spring season practices start in early April.
• All teams practice just one day each week, either Tuesdays or Thursdays, for the duration of the season.
• Younger age groups will practice 5:30-6:20 pm and older age groups will practice 6:30-7:30 pm.   (practice times adjusted in Sept & Oct due to darkness)
• Weekly games will be played Saturday mornings, possibly as early as 8:45 AM or as late as 1:00 PM.  Times will vary weekly.  
• Game schedule (typically 7 game season):
  • Fall Season - Early September through October
  • Spring Season - Mid April to early June

WHERE

• All practices and games are held at Cascade Elementary School (16022 116th Ave SE, Renton, WA) or Tiffany Park Elementary School or another nearby location.

TEAMS

• Team assignments are made based on:
  • age (birth year)
  • gender and
  • desired practice day. 
• Requests can be made to be placed on the same team as other players, or for a specific coach, during the registration process. 
• We do our best to accommodate requests, however we cannot guarantee our ability to meet all requests.   Please understand that with over 300 players, it is not always possible to accommodate all requests.
• Players may play up into the next older division based on  request during the registration process.
• Team assignments will be announced the week prior to the 1st practice.

COST

• $ 165  for the season.
• includes the cost of game jersey, insurance, field rentals, staffing, all supplies, equipment and league administration.

Uniform & Equipment

• Game Jerseys (shirts) are provided to each player to keep and are included as part of the registration fee. 
• All players will be required to supply their own shin guards. 
• Soccer cleats are suggested, but are not required. 
• Soccer balls are provided for all practices and games.

Refund Policy

• Refunds are permitted prior to the close of registration for the current season, less a $10 administrative fee.
• Refund requests after the close of registration, but prior to the 1st game of the current season, may be made less 50%.
• After the 1st games, no refunds.   Refund requests due to hardship or injury will be considered on an individual basis.

Free Cleat Exchange - Prior to the Start of each Micro league season

• Fall Cleat Exchange event - August 16, 2025 - 9:30 - 11:30 AM
• Location - Cascade Elementary School - 16022  116th Ave SE, Renton.
• Receive a free pair of soccer cleats just in time for each Micro League season.
• Please consider donating any new or used youth soccer cleats to Cascade Micro.  Our Soccer Cleat Exchange, scheduled to take place prior to the start of each season, allows all Cascade Micro families to  receive, donate or exchange, a pair of soccer cleats for their players, based on availability.
